Monday I guess

Monday we joined Kim and Joe at the rec center for a sort of free breakfast.  It was a no additional cost breakfast.  We got to listen to a guy from Homestead Bank tell us why we should bank with them.  Homestead Bank paid for our apple fritters.  I always like apple fritters!  Joe and Kim introduced us to several people...some of whom I might remember later.   Kim offered their laundry, so we took advantage of that.  Surprise! We played music (and visited a whole lot) with them.  I tried to use there air card to get online but no go.  I can see that we need some way to be connected to the ether the next time we do this sort of thing.  The wi-fi here would not connect this morning.  That surprised me somewhat...I would have had to pay had I made connection.  It is good that it didn't because that would have been $15 wasted.   Kim fed us again...and Strawberry Shortcake Again!  I could get used to this! Laundry took some time to cycle through...and welshed music all of that time.  We were about ready to be done when another musician arrived.  Of course we played another hour or so. We came home and put laundry away, well Lori did.  We had made plans to be back at Kim and Joe's at 6.  We watched the sky in the South turn a dark and rainy looking.  We sat out and watched the clouds over head heading East while the clouds to the South moved North.  We saw a few flashes of lightning as well. We didn't think it would rain much.  We intended to walk to Joe's.  We walked to the comfort station in preparation of that.   Guess what?!  It rains in Southern Florida as well as in Southern California.  We had to hurry to get into the restroom before the storm hit full force.  It was raining really hard by the time we got out.  We watched the rain for 10 minutes or so.  It seemed to be raining harder each minute. I called Kim to see if they had any idea how long the rain would last.  She drove up and rescued us.  It was raining so hard that we about got drowned joust taking the two steps from the truck to the breeze way.  We turned lemons into lemonade by jamming some more.  Kim drove us home around ten,  we went to bed really tired but boy, did we have a Great Day!   I almost forgot...we managed about a 2 mile nature walk this morning after our apple fritters...pretty good huh?
